Apostles Build 2017 Groundbreaking

Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for its 2017 Apostles Build on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 5:00pm. The home will be for Lisa Harris, a grandmother raising her two young grandsons, at 607 Rucker Street in Gallatin. 

This is the fifth Apostles Build and the 55th overall new home build by Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County. The Apostles Build is an annual build in which 12 churches come together to provide funding, volunteers, and prayer for the homeowner and the project. This year's 'apostles' are: Hendersonville Church of the Nazarene; Hendersonville 1st Presbyterian Church; Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Hendersonville; Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church, Gallatin; First Baptist Church (Winchester St.), Gallatin; First United Methodist Church, Hendersonville (Faith Builders, Crossroads, Genesis); Church at Indian Lake; St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Hendersonville; 1st Presbyterian Church, Gallatin; Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, White House; Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Gallatin; and First Baptist Church, Gallatin.
