Through the Bankers Build, these financial institutions are partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County to sponsor and support the construction of a new home for a local family. Meet Tanya

Tanya’s journey is one of resilience, determination, and hope. A single mother to two boys, Christopher (17) and DJ (13), Tanya has overcome immense challenges, including addiction and homelessness. After years of struggling to provide a safe and stable environment, she moved to Tennessee in 2016 for a fresh start and the support of her parents.

For Tanya, homeownership through Habitat for Humanity is more than just a dream—it’s a life-changing opportunity. “Having a safe and stable home means my family and I will always have a place to go, a roof over our heads, and a safe haven for our hearts,” she shares.

Tanya looks forward to decorating her new home for the holidays, hosting family gatherings, and building a future where her boys feel secure and proud. “Habitat has given me hope, encouragement, and the chance to achieve a goal I never thought possible.”
