opportunities for individuals.

A multitude of volunteer opportunities await you at Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County – from the lively ReStore and energetic build sites to vital committee roles and exciting special events. Your path to making a significant impact starts here.

restore

The ReStore is a retail store that accepts donated building products (e.g. windows, doors, appliances, sinks, etc). These are then resold to the general public to help support us in our efforts to help build decent and affordable housing for low-middle income families. We update availability periodically so check back often if you are looking for days beyond what is currently listed. Tasks may include donation acquisition, merchandising, customer service, pricing, store organization, etc.

Ready to roll up your sleeves and make a difference? Join us for a Habitat Build Day in Spring or Fall 2025! No experience is needed—our friendly volunteer crew leaders will guide you through every step. It's a chance to learn new skills, connect with your community, and create a lasting impact for families in need. Volunteer spots are limited, with priority given to sponsors, so don’t miss out. Sign up through our Build Day Interest Form to receive notifications as soon as our Spring/Fall 2025 volunteer schedule is released. Whether you're a first-timer or a returning volunteer, we can’t wait to build alongside you!

builders club

Join our Builders Club, a special team of skilled volunteers committed to supporting our construction staff in both keeping projects on track and assisting with deconstruction efforts. This elite group plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth progression of our builds, from completing tasks left over from the previous Saturday to helping maintain the momentum of our construction schedule and preparing both staff and site for future building endeavors. Our Builders Club is essential for those who are not just willing to lend a hand, but who possess the expertise to make a tangible difference on the ground.

Photography/Media – Volunteers are needed to help capture build activities as well as cover some of our special events. This is a wonderful opportunity for a photography student looking to build his or her portfolio or for experienced photographers who are willing to share their time and talents. Schedule and specific assignments will be determined as needed.

Administrative Support- Volunteers are needed to help us answer phones, file, make copies, enter data, and provide support to office personnel through clerical and administrative functions.

Food donation/ Meal Preparation- Volunteers are needed to pickup, and distribute food to volunteers on build days or other special events.
