By sponsoring and volunteering on this build, our board members are continuing their legacy of service, creating a lasting impact for a local family, and demonstrating the power of leadership in action. Together, they’re building more than a home—they’re building a stronger, more hopeful community.
Meet Keaira
Keaira is a single mother determined to create a brighter future for her two daughters, ages 3 and 6. After leaving an emotionally abusive relationship in 2018, she worked tirelessly to rebuild her life—paying off debt, saving, and striving to provide a safe and stable environment for her family.
For the past five years, Keaira and her daughters have lived in public housing, where safety and stability were constant concerns. “I’ve always dreamed of owning a home, but I never thought it was possible,” Keaira shares. When encouraged to apply for Habitat for Humanity, she took the leap, and her dream is now becoming a reality.
“This home will mean everything to us—a safe place where my girls can grow and where we can create memories as a family,” Keaira says. From decorating for the holidays to hosting family game nights, she’s excited to build a future filled with love and stability.
